Getting Started

First of all, click to look at one of the site plans. You will notice that many of the plots have been divided and as each full plot becomes vacant we do split it so that more people can have a chance to become a tenant.
If you visit and take a look around the site you will see the many ways that tenants choose to use the space they rent.
The agreement with the council is that primarily plots are used for cultivation especially vegetables and fruiting trees and bushes, but also space can be used for flowers and a proportion for encouraging wildlife.

If you want to join the waiting list for a plot then contact Simon Wild, one of the site secretaries who manages the list.
When a number of plots become vacant, (usually in the new year when annual bills go out), we arrange a day for all of those on the list to visit and state their preferences for the vacant plots. Simon will then allocate plots and notify the council. If plots become vacant later in the year we can either arrange another day or meet individuals to offer them what is available.
