...Sponsor a Urinal!

Here is your opportunity to take the p*** out of St. Nicks: The three compost toilets at the York Environmental Community Centre save more than 20,000 litres of water per year (because they do not flush). However, they occasionally struggle to cater for the needs of the increasing number of visitors and they desperately need to be relieved by a waterless urinal.

This May, Ivana Jakubkova (General Assistant at St. Nicks) and her friends Helen Veitch and Anna Hollingworth are planning to do a 280 km Coast to Coast Walk. They are looking for sponsors who would help finance the installation of a waterless urinal at St. Nicks.

Every penny towards the approximately £500 needed counts and will be greatly appreciated. You can either donate now (please make cheques payable to ‘Friends of St. Nicholas Fields) or send payment after they have completed their journey. If you can gift-aid your payment, your donation will go even further. All sponsors will be invited to the grand official opening later in the year. If you would like to support their vital mission, please let us know.
