CLUB
meet at the Environment Centre
- Bird Walk: starts at 10am
Come join local ornithologist David Campbell on a walk through the nature
reserve. Please bring binoculars if you have them. There are limited
places on this walk so please
book ahead.
- Eco-Active Day: 10am-1pm
Come help us with a task in the nature reserve. You will get a warm
feeling and free lunch in return. Eco-Active Day
= a great opportunity to be doing something useful outdoors, get lots
of fresh air, maybe learn a new skill, get fit, meet like-minded people
and drink cups of tea! Free soup and bread is provided for lunch. For

3rd-10th May: COMPOST AWARENESS WEEK - Help the Earth,
Start Composting
You don’t even need a garden to compost your waste.
Composting does not have to take up a lot of space or time, and it can
save you money. It turns waste into nutrient-rich compost, and it helps
the planet by diverting organic waste from landfill sites. To find out
more, come to one of York Rotters' events or contact
the Rotters' Officer.

2pm Annual Worm Charming competition - Prizes
include a junior wormery. Entrants may bring their own worm charming
equipment (watering cans, cardboard, drums etc.) but please do
not bring garden forks or any other sharp implements. Meet at
York Rotters' stall next to play area, registration 2-2:20pm.
